I was struck by the complexities of her family dynamics and the struggle she faced to survive, and later to thrive, despite the challenges of her childhood. Her story shows how love, no matter how imperfectly it shows up, can be enough to conquer hardship

A deeply personal book by the author, so moving and real you can’t put it down! Relatable in so many ways to fellow immigrants not only from Peru, but from around the world. A truly honest writing of life struggles, experiences, resilience and most of all never giving up on yourself and your dreams.

This book is the story of an exceptional individual it is an inspiring example of sustained achievement against all odds. I found some chapters rather triggering but am totally amazed at the raw honesty of the writer which must have taken great strength.
